Even if it was online which it isn't it does not change the fact that Blazing Angels is an utter ****** game.

Well, they could release a 19-inch iMac and a 19-inch Studio Display at the same time, you know. :p

Dell sucks.
well, less than a year ago, x86 sucked and ppc ruled. now that apple uses x86, it no longer sucks.

I hope they don't call this Apple's flagship Toronto store.
At only 4000 square feet, it's not a flagship store by any measure.
Toronto is supposedly getting a third store later this year, at Sherway Gardens...I haven't seen any word on store size.

The 0.7 isn't really a beta. It's a solid release that has had many betas and several release candidates before it. I've been watching the development and can say the developers are doing a great job, and this is a major release for Adium, with many new features, not just further bug fixes.
I agree. Adium is a wonderful client, and is still under development. I've been using it since the beginning - and I would never look back. The developers are doing superb work - roll on v1.0.
Make the switch, AdiumX! Theres a marketing campaign in there somewhere.
Andy.

tried again and all im getting is:
How infuriating, cause it's working for me. And they've made loads of improvements too...they've added an Ask Jobs button, which is linked directly to Steve and you can ask him anything. He's just given me the release dates of Tiger and the G5 Powerbooks.
I had to let him go after awhile though, something about squashing de Plums and Jeeves?! Man, unlucky that you can't access it! ;) :p

I have found mention of 1394b in a pdf showing techinical specs and other things of a prototype powermac. The pdf can be downloaded here (http://homepage.mac.com/leeharple/FileSharing2.html) . The page 1394b is mentioned on is 13.

I just got off the phone with an Apple tech and had a long discussion with him about my "concerns" about apple Hardware Tech. He basically all but agreed, and told me to pass my comments to Customer Care, and that he would not my arguements.
I know that I'm basically pissing in the wind, but I had to get it off my chest.
Now, Give me a PB worth my $3500 damn it!

I hope there are revisions to both the iBook and the TiBook... we need them bad. Give the TiBook dual processors, then the iBook can get a G4...I like that.

You should post it on the Spymac boards and call it the iWalk.

Videos of the final (or almost final) version in action here (It's in Japanese. Look for the 4 blue links in the chat bubbles):

Looks like they fixed the things I didn't like: The menu bar now collapses and you can scroll faster. Nice little additions too.

Hey Duke, it seems you're wondering the same things as me. I did ask Shrek before as I'm just interested as he's of a similar age to me so I wanted to understand where his thoughts come from. I do love the enternal optismism though, it's a refreshing change to all the doom and gloom about.
I think the basic idea is sound enough and that it attempts to mimic the current situation of G4s and G3s. However from a marketting stand point you don't want to be calling to completely different chips the same thing. People get easily confussed and these forums clearly display this. The PowerMacs are a flagship for a reason. I don't know any manufacturer who puts their highest performing parts in their midrange machines (even for a month or two). I understand Shrek's logic and in essence the idea is ok but in practise it would never work.
Here's another though, the ibook and PowerBook (maybe imac and emac) will get speed bumps in the near future before the OS 9 restrictions are imposed, thus if this switch is hardware imposed in gives Apple a clear Window to start with introducing new PowerMacs and then filter in the other products in good time.

what could be released tomorrow...
Probably the same thing they released today. ;)
What is that thing, an AC adapter with a strange camera lens on it?

I had trouble getting it to work at first also. The instructions from FAH were not newbie friendly which I need. Check the link below. The main thing missing from the FAH directions is when it asked for memory the number was HUGE change this to 2048 or how much memory you have. I did get an early end work unit for the first unit then re-loaded and very smooth sailing after.
I also was running SETI on this laptop, your right it Screams!! Was crushing my AMD X2 4200 500 vs 950 for the Mac. Folding runs cooler don't know exact temps just feeling bottom.

It won't be for quite some time, but the Power4 or G5 or what ever is next in line for the Mac will most likely be rolled out first. That will determine when we'll see it.
