I really like it. It fits well and I like the material. It provides a good grip, slides nicely into my pocket, but doesn't slide around in my car when I place it on my center console.
I searched for the Belkin case on BestBuy.com then clicked Find in Store. The Concord Pike store was the only one within 30 min of me that showed it as in stock. However, I just did it again and it says differently. I was there at 3:30pm today and I'm sure they didn't have a rush on them this afternoon. There were a lot there of each color. I'd suggest running over there tomorrow. They are on the iPod Accessory rack near the front of the store on the far right side.

Manual (stick) shift cars are rare today and I'm wondering how many people still know how to drive them. How did you learn and do you have a desire to own one?
Rare? are you serious? please leave America and see how rare they are ;)
I learnt how to drive a Manual from the get go, my licence allows for both Auto and Manual cars  Jealous? :p

MacBook Air
(exclusive Specs)
Has 0 Ports (just power)
Connects to "new wireless device almost like airport express..which to that you can hook up...."
dvd/cd burner
usb ports for iPods/iPhones etc
printers etc
Has slim hard drive
6-8hours battery
this is crap,
no one in their right mind would make something with 0 ports, you have to at a bare minimum have an audio out.

-Native NTFS write
-Soltaire game as a dashboard widget
-PC-run Mac OS X, but only via virtualization
-Tabs in Finder and Safari be draggable, Dragon Drop style tabbed windows-like OS 9, and be easily recalled-bookmarks.
There will never be NTFS write abilities in Mac OS X for a long time as Microsoft still keeps NTFS writing a propritary technology only licensed for use in Windows XP.

Did that not just happen ...
Likely:
Speed bump to one or more Mac lines
...
Less likely:
....
Major upgrade to Mac mini (video card upgrade) or MacBook Pro
New Displays
...
Unlikely:
...
Major upgrade to any line other than mini or MBP
...
:( How long ago were the MBPs updated? Because I'm looking to buy Jan/Feb and I'm not confident that the current spec is competitive. It at least needs a HD screen.

NICE!!! I use to have a '71 2002. Granted it had rotted rockers, faded paint and a leaking rear main seal. But the thing started on the coldest day of the year. I loved that car. I'll try to dig up pics.
That's the old BMW for you, tough as nails. I wish BMW, Volvo, and Mercedes still made cars like they used to but building cars that rugged and long lasting is terrible for the bottom line.
I see more '70s BMWs than '80s models out there and it's probably around then that they got smart and built in obsolescence. That being said, I loved the look of the '80s BMWs and at the time, and I thought they were making a huge step up from the 2002. Little did we know.

Well......you know what I mean ;)
I do, but I also love to be an ass. :)
I think Apple would enjoy being able to say "all superdrive, all 64-bit, all dual core..."
And we'd enjoy hearing it. But Apple also has to gouge us for profit. It's a two way street.

Most of the naysayers believe that tilting and touch-screen gaming is for sissies. They want actual analog controllers and such. They'll never change that attitude because they what they were raised on. The younger, current group of gamers will find that tilt & touch is very natural for them so they won't be as prone to griping that the past is slowly fading away.
I like racing games a lot and this one looks terrific. Apple needs to build a game console with two iPad2 chips in it or one quad-core ARM processor. That would make one fine low-cost system with more games than you could possibly want available. Apple would just have to work out some touch & tilt controllers for it.
Touchscreen gaming requires you to LOOK AT THE TOUCHSCREEN. This works if the game is ON THE TOUCHSCREEN (for example, the iPad). This doesn't work if the game is on a different screen (for example, the TV). In touchscreen gaming, the concept is that you are watching the action on the screen that you are touching, not on a different screen 6-8 feet away.
In what way is that a dinosaur concept?
This will have limited usefulness, mainly tilting games. Or maybe a dumb game where you just need to smack the screen to whack a mole or something.

But that doesn't mean everyone isnt going nuts, because they are. This is worse than any build up to an Apple event i've ever remembered
I simply meant that, normally, people would be excited because there were covered banners. But this year, they were excited by a bunch of icons. ;)
There are actually 3 covered banners on the ground floor.
I know -- I was specifically referring to the original photo of the icon-filled banner, which only showed two of the three banners.
Kingsly: I'll keep an eye out for you before the Keynote tomorrow. EDIT: Sorry -- just saw your other thread. Have fun visiting Cupertino!

In Libya, West showcases new weapons for sale
Potential buyers from India to Brazil get to see Europe, US jets in action http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/42420553/ns/world_news-mideastn_africa/
I woulda thought the Middle East is most interested, but I suppose any emerging markets is fair game! :D

I think the number or cores will finally level off for a while once 8 core machines
become mainstream.
The next goal will be production refinements like 45 nm production for greater energy efficiency.
Software developers will need to re-train or hire new software engineers who know how to take advantage of multi-core architecture.
The big question for those who must have the newest, most powerful system will be how much RAM they'll need to take advantage of the new architecture.
There are quite a few audio/video production professionals wondering how all this
will help to improve their workflow capabilties.

The wireless implication is too hard to ignore.
How that may apply to products is to be seen.
Wireless IPOD connectivity..possible.
New I phone with less features..maybe.
Hope apple redoes the Nano, it is now a bloated form factor.

Come on, people!!
In my opinion, their quote, "There's something in the air," is nothing other than an allusion to the fact that they're going to introduce a 3G iPhone. We have all known that this was coming eventually; Jobs even said that the only thing stopping them from introducing it was low battery life.
Much prefer "Wi-Max in the air" to a power hungry, girth expanding, comparatively slower 3G.

I'll "believe" when they fix the currently unresolved and widespread quality control issues...light bleed on virtually every unit and blemishes, dents and scratches on units straight out of the box.
Fix those issues, Apple, and then I will "believe" enough to get an iPad 2.
Oh dear. How is Stevie going to sleep at night knowing that one potential customer is still on the fence...
Frankly, they don't give two animal-faecal-secretions about whether you buy it or not.

In other words:
Many more locked down products this year
